In the name of God Amen, the 30th day of March in the year of our Lord,
One thousand seven hundred and eighty six. I Thomas Brandon of Greene
County, State of Franklin, Being sick and weak of body but of sound and
perfect mind and memory and form following (viz )
First. I give and bequeth to my beloved wife Jane and my son Thomas the
plantation where on I now live to be equally divided between them and
half of my plantation on lick creek (If recorded). One bay mare and one
cow to my daughter Mary & five pounds of oats one from Archel
Rawlings Esq. the other half of plantation on Lick Creek to William
English my step-son. I do make and ordain my friend Daniel Kennedy and
my beloved wife executor and executrix of this my last will and testament.
In witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year
first above written.

In the name of God Amen. In the year of our Lord one thousand seven
hundred and eighty nine. I Thomas Brandon of Greene County in the State
of North Carolina, being sick and weak of body, but of sound and perfect
mind & memory, thanks be to God, do make and publish this my last will
and testament, in manner following towit:
First, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Jane and to my son Thomas
the plantation wheron I now live to be equally divided between them. &
next I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary one half of my plantation
on Lick Creek [If Recovered] also one bay mare and one cow, and to my
son John the other half of said plantation on Lick Creek and do make and
ordain my friend Daniel Kennedy and my beloved wife Jane executor and
executrix of this my last will and testament, in witness there of I have
hereunto sit my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
