Subject: Israel J. Fearing, died at Andersonville

Message Detail:
Searching for letters, journals, and other personal documents referencing the life and military service of Pvt. Israel Justin Fearing, a factory foreman from Weymouth, Massachusetts, who served in Company F of the First Massachusetts Heavy Artillery. Captured on June 3, 1864, at the Battle of Cold Harbor, his captors transported him to Andersonville Prison, where he died of disease on July 25, 1864.

Any and all help appreciated!
Ron
