Rob,

I'm not saying that I have the answers. I'm saying that the Bible has the answers. The Bible refers to itself as 'The Word Of God'.

And Rob...contrary to the 'everybody's right, nobody's wrong' dogma...there is a specific right way.

For the sake of logic, let's look at the claims made in the 'book'.

Many events in the new testament were prophesied in the old testament. 43 different individuals who the Lord used to pen the 66 books of scripture lived 1500 years apart. Yet, at least 300 verses in the old testament that spoke of the coming messiah were fulfilled by Christ in His 33 years on earth.

The Jews in the OT believed on the coming Messiah (Christ said He is the Messiah). The Christians (Jew & Gentile believers) in the NT believed on the Christ whom they saw in the flesh...because Christ backed up His claims.

The whole scripture from Genesis to Revelation centers on Christ in some way, shape or form.

That's not a fairy tale, Rob. These are facts. Whether you or I or anybody either agrees or disagrees with the Word, one point is inescapable.

The evidence and facts are there.

Either we ignore it, attempt to explain it away, or embrace it.

However, no man can embrace it unless the Lord takes the blinders off.

The Bible says 'There is a way that seems right unto a man, but in the end it is death'. You'll find that in Proverbs 14:12 AND chapter 16, verse 25.

Meaning...everybody has an opinion or belief..but if that particular 'way' is not consistent with God's way...it is the wrong way...the way that brings forth death, or eternal separation from God.

What is God's way?

Does He have MANY ways to heaven?

John 14:6 says in the words of Jesus Himself,

"I Am the way, the truth and the life. NO man comes unto the Father (goes to heaven) but through Me".

God doesn't hold us accountable for asking questions and doubting Him PRIOR TO understanding, but He will hold us accountable if He reveals Himself to us and we reject Him.

This thread started as a simple yet positive statement about the meaning of Easter. Yet, the sentiment touched a chord with you. Maybe the Lord is calling to you and anyone else who reads this long-running exchange.

It's not me or my words that in and of themselves mean anything. It's the Word of God that speaks. The word is quick, and sharp, and powerful, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).

In the end, God says in His word that when each of us stand before Him...it doesn't matter what this one or that believes.

It's what you have done or haven't done with Christ's claims and sacrifice for your sins that counts.

Bob
