Jim, I think you said it all, and very well too. There is a demand for the older material and it would be a worthy and profitable venture for the labels to put it out on CD. However, those labels are now captained by people who were not born before 1972. They are seriously out of touch with a huge market share that is waiting to scoop up the good stuff should it appear again. Verve, known for their jazz collection, did issue rock and even some country during the sixties, and they still ave it somewhere. Do they care? You take a guess! |
