I don't think there is a large demand for anything other than Greatest Hits. Sure, some UK companies, such as BGO (Beat Goes On) reissues entire albums. However, some CDs I would think would sell great, fail to do well on the market, such as Shirley Ellis. This is from the horse's mouth, not just a guess. Personally, I'm rather pleased what has been reissued on CD, but then again, I'm a "hits" type collector. Granted, you supply the vinyl and they copy it for you, on CD. I have no problem with that. However, to take your word that you "own" the LP and send you a CD, is just breaking (US) copyright laws. That's how I found the site, while searching for a Neilsen-Pearson (s?) LP on CD. I think most were all reissued, legally, in Japan. Thanks, Jim! Best, |
