Message Detail:
I would love to help but I have not a clue.

In fact until you mentioned it, I did not realise I had the song, but when I typed Blisters into my database, it turns out that I have it on vinyl.

However, it must be a reissue, as my version is not on Liberty but on Collectables, and is/was the flip of Thurston Harris "Little Bitty Pretty One".

I'd say I probably bought Thurston Harris, and ended up with The Blisters on the flip without knowing it. I probably played the flip but cannot be sure.

Sorry about that.

I will dig up the single this evening and have a listen to it.

I presume it is the old spiritual "Mama's little children love shortnin shortin"?

Interesting that it was on Liberty in 1963. I bought a lot of Liberty from 1960 to 1965, mainly Vee, Burnette, the Crickets etc., but cannot recall coming across this.

Somewhere, I have a Liberty catalogue, but I doubt if that will be all that informative either.

Was it a Philly hit?
