You'll be happy to know that the new countdowns on Monday will include the week of September 13, 1958! As far as the observations on the music from the 50's, right on! I'm having a kick 'discovering' these low charting yet very listenable records from the 50's, so I know all who hear them have to be enjoying the experience as well.

As far as 1980 is concerned, my instinct told me that the response would be favorable, and it has! I will do another '80 survey in the near future, and we may even sneak a '79 countdown in as well before too long.

I tell ya, it is a lot of fun hearing these songs and it just seems that when a countdown is from a week that represents a milestone for whatever reason to you or me, well...the memories seem even more meaningful.
