Well he had 11 hits,3 of them top 10 & as in the USA his only No.1 was not written by him but was a cover of "My Ding-A-Ling"(probably the worst song he ever recorded).
I've seen him twice live once in the 60's & about 5-6 years ago & his act dissapointed me both times as he seems to treat his show as a job.
Last time I saw him should have been in a triple bill with Little Richard & Fats Domino,but Fats Domino was ill & to replace him Little Richard suggested they might do a joint act together but he refused to come on again after his earlier performance.
