Because the variety of the artists and also liked how you both included the word " Why " in the title and in the lyrics. Your " Back To school " concept a few weeks ago was also great! Jim from Southern California - Great job of selecting various types of tragedy songs - These types of songs were mainly popular in the early 1960's. One of the earliest song in this vain is " Endless Sleep " by Jody Reynolds from 1958. Also, following the death of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper, " 3 Stars " by Tommy Dee with Carol Kay and The Teen - aires from 1959 was released and hit the Top 20. Dr. Johnny from Tampa, Florida - The " September 22, 1979 Countdown " was great!!! Disco was still hanging in there but new wave was creeping in like The Cars. Did you know that The Knack's album, " Get The Knack " cost only $18, 000 to produce! There was little over dubbing. Of course the album cover resembled The Beatles first album! Again, great job, Dr. Johnny in selecting another great week and year for your Countdown during this month's Listeners Week!
