My god, I was on the Lorenzo show as a child twice, and had a chance to do the Lorenzo stomp twice. Gerry would talk to us during the live show, lips not moving as Lorenzo, but he would tell us what to do. If he needed to talk to the director/producer, he would turn his back to the camera. I thought I was in the presence of God, as I used to dress up like him and used silly putty for the nose. I have tried to find out the fate of Gerry Wheeler, as he was one of my heroes back in the 60's. I never was an early person even as a kid, but would set the alarm so I wouldn't miss a minute of the show on WJZ. I fear he is now gone, as he would be in his 80's, but maybe he's still alive. I would like nothing more than to contact him and tell him what an impact he had on my life in a very positive way. If anyone knows his fate, good or bad, would you please let me know? Thanks
