All,

Hi!

Hope everyone is doing well.

This is a short review of the Wednesday March 18, 2009 Top 40 Classics - The Classic 45's You Grew Up With Show hosted by Dr. Johnny P. LoveTrain.

The show usually is presented from 8:00 P. M. EST - 11:00 P. M. EST but because U. S. F. (The University Of Southern Florida) is in it's Spring Break, this week's show began at 3:00 P. M. EST.

Great Show!

3:00 P. M. EST - 4:00 P. M. EST

Olivia Newton - John and Andy Gibb started the show with a 4 play consisting of 2 tunes by Olivia, an Andy and Marie Osmond duet and a solo song by Andy.

The 3 Of A Kind feature was also presented.

The main idea of this feature is that listener tries to figure out how each of the 3 songs played are related to each other.

The first listener to E - Mail Dr. Johnny with the correct answer, will get a " Shout - Out " on the air!

The songs played were:

Tonight I Celebrate My Love - Peabo Bryson And Roberta Flack - 1983
You're All I Need To Get By - Marvin Gaye And Tammi Terrell - 1968
Too Much, Too Little, Too Late - Johnny Mathis And Deniece Williams - 1978

The answer of how these 3 songs are connected with each other is:

All were #1 duets.

The following were some of the oldies that were played during the first hour:

Little Deuce Coupe - The Beach Boys - 1963
Palisades Park - Freddy " Boom Boom " Cannon - 1962
Who's Crying Now - Journey - 1981
Diamond Girl - Seals And Crofts - 1973

4:00 P. M. EST - 5:00 P. M. EST

The second hour of the show started with his Original / Remake feature and the song, " Shop Around " by both

The Miracles - 1960 - 1961 - - - - Original Version
The Captain And Tennille - 1976 - - - - Remake Version

During the remaining of this hour, these were some of the Listener's Song Requests that were played:

Suzie Q (Part 1) - Creedence Clearwater Revival - 1968
Time After Time - Cyndi Lauper - 1984
Jive Talking - The Bee Gees - 1975

5:00 P. M. EST - 6:00 P. M. EST

These were some of the oldies played during the last hour:

Love Child - Diana Ross And The Supremes - 1968
If You Leave Me Now - Chicago - 1976
Mr. Bass Man - Johnny Cymbal - 1963

The Time Machine segment presented 6 songs that were popular on March 18, 1986. The sixth song in this segment played was the #1 song on this date, " These Dreams " by Heart. Also, Dr. Johnny covered some of the news headlines that occurred on this date.

Next Week's Time Machine will feature March 25, 1978.

The show ended with the song, " ABC " by The Jackson 5 from 1970.

Have a safe, beautiful and Blessed day and weekend in Him.

S - M - I - L - E !!!

Take Care!

God Bless You All!
