Message Detail:
All,

Hi!

Hope everyone is doing well.

This is a short review of the Wednesday April 15, 2009 Top 40 Classics - The Classic 45's You Grew Up With Show hosted by Dr. Johnny P. LoveTrain.

Great Show!

8:00 P. M. EST - 9:00 P. M. EST

Olivia Newton - John and Andy Gibb started the show with a 4 play consisting of 2 tunes by Olivia and 2 songs (a duet with Dionne Warwick and a rarity) by Andy.

The following were some of the oldies played during the first hour:

Hollywood Swinging - Kool And The Gang - 1974
I Missed Again - Phil Collins - 1981
You Are The Woman - Firefall - 1976 - 1977

The 3 Of A Kind feature was also presented.

The main idea of this feature is that listener tries to figure out how each of the 3 songs played are related to each other.

The first listener to E - Mail Dr. Johnny with the correct answer, will get a " Shout - Out " on the air!

The songs played were:

Come Sail Away - Styx - 1977 - 1978
Ride Like The Wind - Christopher Cross - 1980
Sail On Sailor - The Beach Boys

The answer of how these 3 songs are connected with each other is:

Each song title has something to do with " Sailing ".

9:00 P. M. EST - 10:00 P. M. EST

The second hour of the show started with his Original / Remake feature and the song, " Put Your Head On My Shoulder " by both:

Paul Anka - 1959 - - - - Original Version
Leif Garrett - 1978 - - - - Remake Version

Dr. Johnny then played Listener's Song Requests that included the following:

Puppy Love - Donny Osmond - 1972
Shannon - Henry Gross - 1976
Too Shy - Kajagoogoo - 1983

After all the Listener's Song Requests were played, these were some of the oldies played during the remainder of the hour:

My Cherie Amour - Stevie Wonder - 1969
Soldier Boy - The Shirelles - 1962
Steppen' Out - Joe Jackson - 1982 - 1983

10:00 P. M. EST - 11:00 P. M. EST

These were some of the oldies played during the last hour:

We Are The World - USA For Africa - 1985
I Wanna Get Next To You - Rose Royce - 1977
It's Not Unusual - Tom Jones - 1965

The Time Machine segment presented 6 songs that were popular on April 15, 1981 on the Cashbox Chart. The sixth song in this segment played was the #1 song on this date, " Morning Train (Nine To Five) " by Sheena Easton. Also, Dr. Johnny covered some of the news headlines that occurred on this date.

Next Week's Time Machine will feature April 22, 1976.

The show ended with the song, " Dedication " by The Bay City Rollers from 1976.

Have a safe, beautiful and Blessed day and weekend in Him.

S - M - I - L - E !!!

Take Care!

God Bless You All!
