Subject: Paper Lace - The Night Chicago Died - 1974

Message Detail:
I believe that person sitting in that Ford Edsel over there, will agree, that the opening of this song is what gained it attention! DJs must sift through many new songs and select those to play that they feel are "good"! Take for example, The Chambers Brothers. The 45 single of their big hit (Time Has Come Today) would scare anyone (even DJs) away with its eerie intro! Not good! Charted poorly! But when it was revamped, and initially reissued on LP, it did very well on the charts! Ah, success!

Hope everyone has a nice day!

Best,
John
