Subject: Before Jeff Christie was allowed to dub his vocals - Yellow River

Message Detail:
Did you know, early on, American record companies objected to radio stations playing the music they published, and would not supply any promotional records, feeling it would harm record sales!? Capitol Records disagreed and was the first to offer radio stations material to air! When it was discovered it increased record sales, the others, Columbia, RCA, etc., jumped on the bandwagon to cash-in and followed in Capitol Records' steps! Anyway, Yellow River...

Best,
John
