Brian Hyland? I liked him - particularly his version of "Tragedy" - one of my favourite songs of all time. Anyway, did not know this was a hit in Japan, or even that it was a hit anywhere. It was one of four tracks on his first EP (remember those? - one hit and three losers for $2?) which came out in October 1960. Anyway, the other tracks were Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini - I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire and Cosy Little Compact Car. Actually his version of Don't Want To Set The World On Fire was not half bad for a kid! |
