Reminds me of the American billionaire (was it one of the Rockefellers?) who when told by a frightened staff member that he had just lost a million in some venture, replied:

"A million? Well be more careful. A million here - a million there and soon we'll be talking real money".

But I'm afraid a mere million would hardly help EMI!
