I mean, "Ireland" and "75 Degrees" are not meant to be in the same sentence. This is another national emergency I tell you. It snowed for nearly three hours last winter. Now it's hitting 75 degreees. Perhaps it is the end of the world? 84 in New Jersey? No wonder you're playing stuff like Leapy Lee - your brain just has to be fried in those temperatures. But I did like Dionne Warwick. Class act. Absolutely adored "Don't Make Me Over" (and please do not inhinge my heat-addled brain by playing the Swinging BlueJeans cover version) - in fact I think "Don't Make Me Over" is one of the best records ever made. (OK I confess - I do not think clearly at 75 degrees). |
