In the US, actually, around the world, CD mastering was, at best, crude when it started in the '80's. I mention on my site about drastic changes in volume between early CD tracks. Why I'm currently able to do what should have been done in the '80's with enhancing sound. The digital age came on too sudden! Also, yes, as more time passes, you tend to gain more songs on CD, to keep you interested in buying the music! Jim added: I knew then I was dealing with a nut-case - somebody who thinks the value is in its rarity - and not in the music itself. Lots of obscure records to find! Not that it makes them valuable! When collecting vinyl, I would record on tape anything I liked for LP or 45, as not to wear the vinyl, but enjoy the music! Best, |
