I sometimes come across songs, unexpectedly, and they virtually blow my mind. Within a few notes, I know the song, that I haven't heard in decades. I check with my sisters and others (even outside of NJ) to also see if they recognize the song, too, like "Rain", by José Feliciano, and they do!

So, what I'm getting at, it's hard to say Billboard is actually great at what they do. Never audited, so who knows what makes songs chart. I have to use my own judgment (memory) to know what is/was actual hits (like yourself) where I reside(d).
