Subject: June, 1979 Countdown

Bob, thanks again for a new countdown. Feel free to differ, and it would be nice to get lots of people commenting here once again, but I thought ths was maybe one of the weakest countdowns ever. There were quite a few one hit wonders. Even future Hall Of Famers like Elton John and Paul McCartney's entries were not among their best. As Bob said, it was a year sort of lost between the end of disco and the start of the 1980's. Yes, there were a couple of gems, such as The Logical Song and even Hot Stuff, but pretty weak by most countdown standards.
