Subject: Sly & The Family Stone - Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) - 1969 Quadraphonic |
|
If you were lucky to find the Quadraphonic mix Greatest Hits LP, you'd be the first to hear this song in Stereo! I have yet to hear it played on radio! Actually, I was told the Quadraphonic mix also appeared on a promo 45 single, years later! This version is shortened to about 1/2 length, and tweaked the best I could! It may make you realize why it was initially mixed to monophonic! Columbia Records, I'm told, would turn roadies into recording engineers and Stereo mixes began to sound like a disaster. Columbia Records eventually sold off to foreigners, the American way!.... Have a nice weekend! Best, |
