John, the song was released in stereo. I played it last night at an event outside of Baltimore (Got a request for it, ain't that cool?).

I'm listening to your link. The bridge starting about 1:15 in omits the vocals 'I know she's the kind of girl, who'd throw my love away....'...and that's neat because I am hearing instruments in that section never heard before because they were obscured on the single release.

One of my all-time faves.
