Two DJs: Dick Bartley and Bob Pantano (always waited patiently for their radio shows to be aired in the late '80's). Used to listen to Dick's syndicated "Gold" show (Westwood One rings a bell). I gather Dick had a huge vinyl collection. Always made me (being a stereoholic) jealous when he'd play rare oldies, in stereo. Do you, or others, happen to know if he retired from DJ'ing? Don't see anything on his web site about it. Bob, on the other hand, was my favored DJ for the "Philly" sound. He's currently at WOGL, out of Philly, with his (long running) "live" dance show, on Saturday nights. He, like Dick, must have a nice sizable vinyl collection. Must get my lazy behind in gear and shake his hand, at one of his shows, for the fond memories. Jerry Blavat, (a bit before my listening "time"); I was told (or read) he, too, had/has a nice vinyl collection. Makes me wonder if most "oldies" DJs start out as collectors of fine music. I know I have the itch :-)
