Regarding your comments about Richard Harris' original of 'MacArthur Park', I concur that the song has 'holes', but is a true masterpiece. Here in Baltimore back in '68, a number of stations went on it and for some reason in later years I used to hear the song a lot on Garey (spelling correct) Lambert's Sunday morning show in the 70's on 680 WCBM.

I thought Garfunkel did a pretty fair version of 'I Only Have Eyes For You', but I cannot add to your words about the Flamingos R&B original. That song was one of the last ones I played when I left my afternoon show on Oldies 1230 WITH in January, 1997 before going to work for Buddy Deane in Arkansas. Purposely.
