Subject: Further'g Shipyard History - The Terms

Message Detail:
Bob,

I was just glancing at a fascinating tome entitled "Seamanship 1862" By Lieut. George S. Nare, Royal Navy, and was awed by all of the strange terms found therin. Do you suppose we might get up a glossary of terms section at the Skinner & Son's Shipyard Site? I have a goodly number of entries I could throw in for a good pot of stone soup (guess you'd call that ballast soup in a shipyard wouldn't you?).

Put that in your Charlie Noble and smoke it - why not?

Walt
