Ah! But Sir... BALTIMORE still floats ever since you, Steve Bunker, Steve Heaver, the good folks at McLean Contracting and others helped raise her from the Sasafras River back in 1981. However, with her somewhat weaken'd stern section, steaming isn't presently recommended.

As to her ability to leave the pier under her own steam, her physical plant is workable once a hydrostatic test is performed. Her engine crew have replaced all of the fitting gaskets and her boiler has been done over.

After reading your last post on the subject, I too would like to hear more of, not only what has been accomplished, but, what the board's future plans for Tug BALTIMORE might be.
