Message Detail:
Our participation in this wonderful event put on by the Preservation Society of Fells Point and Federal Hill communities was so beneficial to our Mission of bringing to the public the significance of the Steam Tug Baltimore. We sold many of our store items and we enjoyed all the conversations through the two days. Our location was directly in front of the bows of the MORAN tugboats. These vessels came and went all weekend as their work demanded. The Vane Brothers Towing Company was also present as they came to show off their brand new tug.
The waterscape from the Broadway pier this weekend was very impressive for it spoke volumes to the continuing history of the Port of Baltimore.
Many people who spoke with us told of their family connections to the Marine History of Baltimore.
