Subject: Harbor Scene at Ft. McHenry & The Bicentennial Celebration Of Port of Baltimore |
![]() Say there Tug, It's hard to tell by the look of the those steam tugboats, but from the additional buildings visible at Fort McHenry across from Lazeretto Point lighthouse (where the artist was positioned), it seems as though this illusrtation was done up for the 200th instead of the 100th celebration of the Port of Baltimore as in 1906. Now some of us think that it would be a very fine touch should someone come up with funding for another grand fireworks display to continue the tradition of celebrating the next 100 year milestone of the Port founded in 1706. Perhaps Former Comngresswoman Helen Bentley might want to look into having such a capstone offering during the Steam Tug BALTIMORE'S 100th birthday party celebration. Imagine the vessels we'd have participating and reflected in the glow of the rocket burstings? Can you see it too? Keep the Faith Tug and Three Toots to Ya! Walt |
