Message Detail:
Bob,

Would you know if anyone at the Baltimore Museum of Industry have considered addressing the possibility of having a 105th birthday party at BMI to celebrate the September 1906 launch of their prized keystone artifact, the City of Baltimore's Municipal Steam Tug BALTIMORE?

I was told that some of the museum's tugboat docent volunteers, who refer to themselves as 'the crew', were planning to have a big 'all-hands' gathering aboard the BALTIMORE sometime in July. What might you know about this?

Might you be able to persuade them to shift their all-hands weekend to September 10-11, 2011, or at least ask them and the museum staff to add the birthday celebration weekend to their calendar of events?

Who knows. It could possibly turn out to be a joint public event party with the museum's tenants, the Downtown Sailing Association folks, and the Baltimore & Chesapeake Steamboat Company getting involved.

Walt
