Subject: Getting Tug BALTIMORE Ready for June Move to So. Terminal |
|
This Saturday, April 29, looks like a good day to lay some paint on the tug. This is your opportunity to make the old girl brighten up a bit. We need to get a coat of enamel on the port side main deck. The toe rail needs to be primed all the way around on the upper deck including around the stair to the upper deck and the sheet metal in the stairwell needs to be primed. If we have folks enough to attend, it would nice to lightly sand and enamel the upper engine room (Fidley) and also the galley. Now we will have a working pump while underway and access to another for stand-by mode courtesy of our friends over on the TAMAROA. A couple of us will be helping out from 11 am 'til 2:30 pm over at the Baltimore Waterfront Festival on this coming Saturday but most everyone else should be arriving at dockside for their issue of paint, brush and pail. Did I mention sanding blocks and paper? We'd like to be ready when you come down to the tug (wearing some seriously old cloths to paint on) and we'd also like to have enough drink and doughnut holes on hand too. Please either post up here with your intentions or simply E-wire me off line. We have engine room activities slated for the future but we'd like to accomplish the cosmetics for the up-coming Gala. Stand-by All Lines! .. and have fun doing it too! |
