Subject: Historic Tugboats One Pier Apart :) |
|
Mara, Two more months (or a month and a few days) and you will be here in Baltimore with the two tugs TAMAROA & the BALTIMORE one pier down river. The harbor taxi, which comes to a seawall float just off of the starboard bow of the TAM, will enable you to see the sights which I am certain will include the fine old museum Sloop-of-War CONSTELLATION. If you get a chance please mention us to Pam Hepburn of the 1907 Tug PEGASUS. We are hoping the "P" can join us down from NY Harbor in October for her sister's birthday party. Both the BALTIMORE (1906) and the PEGASUS were products of the Wm. Skinner Shipyards a few hundred feet upstream of where the TAMAROA now berths. Looking forward to your visit. Walt |
