Tugboat Enthusiasts Society members and all tugboat enthusiasts are invited to the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary’s Flotilla 2-76’s National Safe Boating Week Event being held at Philadelphia’s Penn’s Landing Waterfront, on Sunday, June 4th, 2006, from 12 Noon to 6 PM.

The Tugboat Enthusiasts Society of the Americas is organizing and coordinating the Tug Boat Parade and traditional Blessing of the Fleet scheduled for 12:30 PM.

After the Tug Boat Parade available commercial tugs will rendezvous at the Market Street end of Penn’s Landing (Location - seawall side north end across from Pier 3).

BEST LOOKING COMMERCIAL TUGBOAT ON THE DELAWARE RIVER COMPETITION

TES’ Captain Roy Banks and Chief Engineer Bob Lewis will conduct a competition during the tugboat rendezvous to determine the best looking commercial tugboat on the Delaware River (Location - seawall side north end across from Pier 3). A trophy will be awarded.

SPECIAL AWARD TO THE DELAWARE RIVER’S OLDEST WORKING TUGBOAT

A special award will be given to the oldest working tugboat participating in the tugboat parade and tugboat rendezvous (tugs must be at least 50 years old to compete).
